The Bank Feeds logs record what happens during an online connection with your bank. If the connection fails, or you get an error, the logs can help pinpoint the failure.
Needed files: ~qbofx32 (encrypted), ~qbofxod (encrypted), and ConnLog from a user reporting the issue.
To obtain logs, first enable the online banking logs by doing this:
- Select Edit from the QuickBooks menu > Preferences.
- Click Checking on the left hand side.
- Click Company Preferences on the tabs for Checking.
- You should see a check box to enable logging > check it.
- Attempt the online banking setup or account update in the Bank Feeds window so you can refresh the logs.
Second, go here to look for logs: C:\Users\Select your desktop user here\AppData\Local\Intuit\QuickBooks\Log\. Then look for the folder that has the most recent modified date. In this folder you should find the ~qbofx32, ~qbofxod, and the ConnLog to attach to the support ticket.
NOTE: AppData is one of those folders that Windows hides. You can Google ‘how to show hidden folders’ to expose it.
