Listening to the pulse

Employee Story 1

“This past year has been very different from our previous years. We had to look at the processes we follow differently. We had to re-imagine our methods. Along this journey, we learnt from what we saw within the company, from peers and implemented the best practices across the industry.”

Jharna Thammaiah Director and India Site People & Places Leader, Bangalore

Feedback is a gift

At a time when we are all navigating uncharted territory together, the voice of our employees is more important than ever. At Intuit, we provide a wide variety of channels – informal and formal – for employees to ask questions and share opinions. We do this because we believe feedback is one of the most valuable ways we can improve ourselves.

And it’s working. Our feedback and communications channels are one of the main drivers for new policy and practice adoption, as we continue to operate driven by the belief that that our employees must feel empowered in order to succeed.

Great Place to Work (GPTW) ambassadors community

From introducing unique employee listening opportunities like floor-wise engagement that helps sustain a small company culture, the GPTW ambassadors community has been instrumental in unlocking the power of many and mobilizing the perceptions of our employees.

When the entire organization pivoted to a virtual model, the team led our virtual engagement through highly engaging slack campaigns and contests by crowdsourcing ideas for activities like FitIntuit, #21Day challenge, Intuit super singer.

They help surface and represent the ‘Voice of Employee’ for all our org/ strategy changes and announcements.

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)

With many unforeseen and unfortunate global events unfolding, our CEO Sasan Goodarzi felt it would be appropriate to take a stand for what is right, with empathy and compassion, and drive change. Sasan, after listening, learning and careful reflection, announced a set of concrete efforts towards understanding more about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). These included-

Sharing the update on our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy progress.

Adding diversity metrics to our Employee True North Goal by putting in “belonging” scores as a measure of inclusion in our company wide employee survey conducted twice a year.

Started a diversity dashboard to make our DEI effort measurable and hold ourselves accountable.
