You can get the minimum system requirements in Intuit QuickBooks Desktop by clicking on the product version you’re using:

Yes, after January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008.

If you’re upgrading and want to know more about the impact that has on other software you use, check the system requirements for that specific software to see if it supports your new version of Windows.

While it is possible to use QuickBooks in an “offline mode”, our system requirements for all current version of QuickBooks do call for an online connect. We cannot guarantee full QuickBooks functionality without an internet connection.

These versions of QuickBooks have not been tested with Windows 10. We recommend upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks to ensure compatibility.

You don’t need to uninstall QuickBooks before you start. However, we do recommend that you backup your company file using an external drive or a backup service before you begin the upgrade.
