The IRS announced today that it is providing taxpayers an additional day to file and pay their federal taxes following system issues that surfaced early on the April 17 tax deadline. Taxpayers will now have until midnight on Wednesday, April 18 to file their taxes. Taxpayers do not need to do anything to receive this extra time.
TurboTax and the Intuit ProConnect series of products will be available and accepting e-files in line with the extended deadline on April 18. TurboTax and Intuit ProConnect advise taxpayers to continue to file their taxes as normal Tuesday evening.
For customers who prepared and/or filed taxes with TurboTax or the Intuit ProConnect professional suite of products earlier today, those returns are being submitted to the IRS. The IRS is processing newly filed returns as normal.

Our tax groups have uninterrupted service and are available for e-filed returns. Our software will hold returns until the IRS is ready to begin accepting them again.
