On September 17, 2021, we announced our partnership with the Los Angeles Clippers during the groundbreaking for Intuit Dome. As part of the 23-year strategic partnership, Intuit will be the exclusive naming rights partner of Intuit Dome, the future home of the Clippers, which is scheduled to open in Inglewood, California for the 2024-2025 NBA season.
Intuit Dome will deliver an innovative fan and consumer experience, while also becoming a hub for programs that power economic prosperity and benefit the community.
“Intuit and the Clippers are mission-driven organizations that share the common goal of putting their customers and fans first. We both have a focus on creating extraordinary experiences enabled by innovative technology,” said Sasan Goodarzi, Intuit Chief Executive Officer. “The Intuit Dome will reflect Intuit’s focus on innovation to deliver best-in-class products and services including TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp to help our customers achieve their financial goals. Intuit and the Clippers have a history of supporting local communities, and we look forward to investing in and contributing to the Inglewood community to help them prosper.”
In addition to building a world-class arena for basketball games and concerts–we’re committed to building community and powering prosperity in Inglewood. Through this partnership, Intuit and the LA Clippers will impact change by launching initiatives to support financial literacy and entrepreneurship education. The end goal is to create more jobs, educate entrepreneurs, support small businesses, and promote job readiness.
Since the partnership was announced, we have:
- Expanded Intuit’s Prosperity Hub School District program, which empowers the next generation of students to learn about finances and entrepreneurship, in the LA area.
- Invested $1M in Los Angeles-area school districts.
- Helped over 20k students in the LA metro area in the Inglewood, Compton, and Los Angeles Unified School Districts
- Partnered with nonprofit organizations like LA Promise Fund, Hidden Genius Project, and Social Justice Learning Institute to promote financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills.
- Hosted our first-ever Financial Literacy Forum where we brought together 600 middle school and high school students across two sessions to take part in a workshop with a gameday atmosphere provided by the Clippers.
- Provided taxpayer assistance events to prepare and file taxes for low-income families and individuals in the area, free of charge during tax season.
- Set up plans to host events where local entrepreneurs and small business owners, including women and minority-owned businesses, can leverage workshops, networking, tools, education, and tips on how to start, build, and grow their small businesses.
